I have been back working with the family business for about 7 years. I am the second generation working with the Valagao family. My job here at CIL is to oversee the daily management of the business. If you have complaints, comments or questions. I am happy to assist. On my spare time I like to take my vintage 1965 truck to many of show n' shines in the summer.
Joe F. - Shipping Manager
I've been working at Continental Importers Ltd. since 1972. I started in the beginning as a delivery driver and sales representative. Presently I am in charge of running the operations of the warehouse. I maintain stock levels, place orders and load the trucks. I enjoy sports and spending time with my family especially my 2 daughters.
Maria A. - Administration Supervisor
She’s been working for Continental Importers Ltd. since 1978. She is in charge of the inventory, sales & purchasing departments. Maria’s many years of hard work and dedication with Continental Importers Ltd. has made her the “go to” person at CIL. Her greatest passion in life is being an animal lover with her favorite of course dogs.
Caroline S. - Order Desk
Caroline is the Customer Service Coordinator, responsible for managing the order desk and customer satisfaction. During the 30 years Caroline has been with Continental Importers ltd., she has developed a strong relationship with many of our valued customers.
Her hobbies include gourmet cooking, as well as navigating our local waters.
Nicholas S. - Sales
As a young child in the family restaurant business I have always known I would end up in an industry that would involve food and wine. The move to Vancouver from the Island opened up plenty of options for this passion including managing a restaurant and then starting with Continental Importers in 1998. Today I manage accounts for the company from Whistler to White Rock including food and heading up the wine division. I have completed extensive wine programs and plenty of postgraduate education in the Provence of BC and in Napa Valley.
Bob W. - Sales
I have been working with Continental Importers for the past 8 years and I bring extensive sales and marketing experience to the company . I enjoy kayaking and running when I am not being a "foodie"
Paul B. - Ethnic Sales
I have been with the company for 4 yrs. I am currently the ethnic sales man and in town delivery driver. Learning a little bit of everything is my goal. I fashion myself as a good handyman on my spare time, as well as a huge soccer fan.
Ederliza L. - Bookkeeper
Liza is the latest to join the family business in a temporary Maternity leave position as bookkeeper. She loves working with numbers and hopes to bring years of accounting experience to the company. Besides maintaining general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliation, she enjoys spending her time with family and friends.
